Sam Devorris
Sam joined SquareFoot in 2021 as the team’s first Los Angeles hire, bringing with him 10 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining SquareFoot, Sam worked for global CRE firm Avison Young, serving as Senior Vice President. He joined Avison Young when the company acquired Truss Holdings, Inc.— a commercial real estate technology company—where he also served as Senior VP. At Truss, Sam obtained 18M square feet of available Los Angeles office inventory for the company’s initial May 2019 launch. In the first 6 months of launching the LA market, he closed 24 lease transactions in his time at Truss, amounting to $4.3M in lease value.
Before Truss, Sam worked as a Tenant Representative Broker at reputable commercial real estate brokerage Colliers International, where he completed more than 50 lease transactions nationwide. He then went to help grow Ecospace Commercial, a smaller firm, where he specialized in serving startups and high-growth businesses.
An avid technology and commercial real estate enthusiast, Sam is extremely well-versed in the PropTech landscape. His passion is improving the arsenal of online tools available to brokers to ultimately improve and streamline the office search process.
An L.A. native, Sam is a former swimmer and water polo player. He received his undergraduate degree in Finance at the University of Denver. Outside of real estate, his interests include spending time at the beach and in the mountains and brewing his own kombucha.
